We have completed our programme of joinery works for Co-op in Kilwinning. We built new walls and new ceilings to form a new room at the back of the retail area to form a OneBanks facility and an Amazon.com Locker collection point.
The initial phase of the work will be the external sheeting and cladding of the steel framed mansard roof. Then formation of the roof gutter troughs and dormer windows. When the building structure is wind and water tight, we will be undertaking the external feature joinery work and moving on to internal packages which will include doors, skirtings, facings, window sills and finishes.
Tony Lochran, Director, Ash Contracts, commented:
“We have an established track record for our work in the hospitality sector and this project follows on from work we have done with some of the leading hotels in Scotland, including The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews and Malmaison in Edinburgh.”
Sharkey sub-contracted this programme of work to Ash Contracts on behalf of their client, Schloss Roxburgh Hotel & Golf Course, Kelso.

We undertook the installation of metal stud fire partitions at Levenseat Resource Management in West Lothian, for engineering firm M+W Group The project involved erecting 20m plus high partitions, in between structural steelwork, to form 2 hour firewalls. We also enclosed 2 full-height (six levels) fire escapes in the shaft wall. Levenseat is the largest fully integrated site providing recycling and waste management solutions.
In addition, we undertook a similar project at Versalis in Grangemouth, on behalf of Jacobs . This project included the creation of an 8-storey shaft wall.
